Questions We’ve Been Asked…

Well, we're one of the few truly independent, fee-only financial advisors in Atlantic Canada.

We don't sell products or earn commissions, which means our advice is unbiased.

Our only goal is to help you reach your financial dreams, not to sell you the financial equivalent of snake oil.

We're like a Swiss army knife for your finances – versatile and always ready to help!

We offer comprehensive financial planning, including retirement planning, tax optimization, investment strategy, and estate planning.

Whatever your financial goals, we're here to help you achieve them.

We believe in transparency. We charge a flat fee based on the complexity of your financial situation.

Fees range from $500 to $7,500, depending on whether you're flying solo, part of a dynamic duo, or have an incorporated business.

We'll provide a clear quote upfront, no hidden fees or surprises. And we can discuss convenient payment plan options, if desired.

Nope!

We don't discriminate based on the size of your piggy bank. Whether you've got a piggy bank or a bank vault, we believe everyone can benefit from personalized financial planning.

It's not about how much you have, it's about making the most of what you've got!

You bet your bottom dollar we are!

As fee-only advisors, we're ethically bound to act in your best interest at all times.

We're more loyal than a golden retriever.

Think of us as your financial GPS. We start with a free consultation to understand where you want to go.

If we're a good fit, we'll gather your financial information, develop a customized roadmap, review it with you, and help you navigate.

And don't worry, unlike your car's GPS, we won't tell you to turn right into a lake!

We're more like investment matchmakers. We assess your investment needs and can set you up with low-cost professional managers who'll treat your money right.

Or, if you're a DIY investor, we can give you the guidance to make sure your portfolio and financial goals are a match

Absolutely!

Although we are based in Halifax, NS, we work with clients across Canada.  We currently have clients in New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland & Labrador, Ontario, Saskatchewan and BC.

Thanks to the magic of modern technology (video calls, phone, email, and text).  Whatever works best for you!

Our founder, David Martin, has earned industry designations that are sure to bore people at parties: CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CIM (Canadian Investment Manager), and FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute), to name a few.

And he’s been working with some of Canada’s most successful families for over 20 years.

Think of us as your financial personal trainer.

Sure, you could try to get in shape on your own but having a professional to guide you and motivate you, can help you reach your goals faster and more effectively.

We’ve been doing this very well for a long time.

We're always happy to answer general questions at no charge.

For specific advice, though, we'll need to understand your full financial picture first.

It's like trying to diagnose a serious engine problem with your car – we need to look under the hood before we can tell you what's wrong.

We're like a financial Swiss Army knife – we do it all!

While your current advisor might focus on investments, and your accountant on taxes, we look at the whole picture.

We can work with your existing professionals to create a financial strategy more harmonious than The Beach Boys.

We think “Eltero” means elephant in Samoan.  So that’s cool.

But David chose the name because that’s the name of the neighbourhood he grew up in Bishop’s Falls, NL.

When David thinks back to his childhood, he remembers the great times making the most of what he and his friends had, and not spending so much time worrying about what they didn’t have.  Every day was a fun adventure.

We want our clients’ lives to be as enjoyable and stress-free as those memories of simpler times David has of growing up in rural Newfoundland.  We believe great financial planning can help you enjoy and optimize everything that you have.

Still have questions? We’ll answer them!
And if we can’t, we’ll find the answers faster than you can say ‘compound interest’.

It’s time you invested in yourself.
